SWAC Baseball: 3/29 and 3/30

Final from 3/28 make up

Georgetown 6
Grambling 1

2nd Game
Postponed due to field conditions.....not sure if it resumed

Wow, Cador's Jags have fallen a long way; definitely not getting the same recruits as he had in the past. One thing we know about the SWAC that it's all about the tourney. Hopefully SU is eligible before than so they can compete for the ship.

I'm surprised we are doing so well because our Top 4 pitchers are out for the season.

We'll be ok.
We couldn't practice with all the cold weather.
Our 16 best pitchers are now in school.
We played the first 10 games without gloves.
The team was worried about the winter sports but they good now.
Po Ben couldn't make the home games because his bike got stolen but he got another one so we good now.
Eight players are on the basketball team so we had to wait for them to wrap up the season.
Our ball boy kept misplacing the balls but we good now.

it has nothing to do with recruits imo. Our bullpen though. It's sad when we give up a 9-3 lead in 3 innings. I did see it coming though.

How do you get an effective bullpen? Answer: Recruiting. When I played against SU, they were stacked in all positions. Everyone threw hard from a pitching standpoint. Then the position players were insane. For example, there was a player who barely played during Weeks last season and was drafted the next year.

This all goes back to a few years ago when I spoke to many SU players about Cador and they all mentioned that Cador is a great recruiter, motivator but a terrible coach. Spoke with a coach this year and he mentioned that SU would miss Puebla.

Its interesting that you saw this company coming, I would have never thought in a million years that Southern baseball would be 1-8 in conference. Never...Just think, a few years ago Cador signed a top pick in the draft, that would've went to SU if he didn't agree to the deal with the tigers. I can't think of his name but he's in the league now.

C-Leb, you can't lie, he's the most optimistic person on this board (and the biggest homer ever)

Valley is 1-23 overall. Wow!

Nobody at Valley is shocked at all  Go back and look at our overall record over the past 3-4 years. We've regressed every year.

With all the coaching changes people have seen our new AD make no one will be shocked when one is made in baseball (which will present a whole new situation (dealing with APR) because there will be a mass exodus)

Yeah, some decisions he make I will never agree with. The game with UAPB said one thing but the one yesterday giving up a 9-3 lead is saying something else. If we lose all 3 next week, it is a wrap. We haven't had a pitcher like Holiday and Merrit in a while and trust me, it is not like we can't get those athletes anymore. I'm sure the new club house won't hurt either

Man F you. PoBen has cancer and lost his voice. SU Baseball will be back. The 1.6 million Club house will help.

SU misses Puebla. He ran practice and day to day things. And these two new guys, have a lot to learn, im being nice lol. SU's lineup is really good, and I refuse to believe SU's relief pitchers are that bad. If Puebla were here SU would be in the thick of things. Cador has has a lot of success with hiring former players. Don't know why he went the route bringing in two outsiders.

First you need to bring it down a notch. How was I to know about Po Ben? He has my prayers but I said nothing to bring that type of response homie.

I said last year that Cador might need to give it up but coaches like this usually try and leave on their own terms.
