12th game virginia l. dont like playing them but the real 11 games with famu and tenn st is nice. start the season with 2 home games.

Anyways, I don't like this one bit. I would have rather the addition home game been Lane. (due to our DC being their former AD & head coach.)
Lane > VUL
Still prefer it to be Morehouse or Delta State if it's going to be D2. People here recognize those names and would pay to see that.

I am glad we didn't add a money game though. :tup:
sept 6th vs VUL should have "scrimmage day" beside it. Smh

Overall can't be mad about 7 home games (you'd be a fool not to buy Season Tickets. It's a steal :tup: )
And 2 of the away games being in Memphis & Lorman. That's basically 9 home games for tiger fans.

I see Southern and Jackson St both have open dates before the SCG rematch in Jackson on Oct. 25

WTH, when GSU played VUL the JSU Mafia were criticizing like hell, they talk all that crap and do the same thing, rotfl. I'm sure they will spin this like they always try to do.

Man.... when I was in school it was ALWAYS the 4th game of the season and it was refund check Friday the day before :lol:

And I'm doing the same thing for us. You know I don't like JSU playing these small azz highschools.

...but JSU is playing FAMU so it balances itself out. We have the better team but are playing NOBODY out of conference. Stop using JSU to justify Alcorn. Oh AND they play TN State. TN State and FAMU generate excitement. VUL and LC DO NOT. We got caught naked so kill that shit right now. JSU, SU, Alabama State do not go hiding in a corner waiting for a championship to fall in their lap. Alcorn scheduling must be better.

BTW, in business, there is something called a cost benefit. As an Alcornite living in Jackson, why drive to Lorman to watch a team we are suppose to beat by 60 when I can see a more competitive game AND HBCU Experience in Jackson?

VUL definitely need the money. It seems like the school's SWAC connection is trying to get them the much deserved revenue. What's interesting, VUL is in the same city (Lynchburg, VA) Liberty University is located. Since both schools are Baptist universities, I wonder why Liberty won't schedule a game with them. It seems like Jerry Falwell, Jr. could share some of that half billion dollars of government funding his school received in the recent year and VUL won't have to spend a great deal of the money they receive from SWAC schools for travel and lodging cost.

On Tuesday morning, VUL football players hurriedly were loading furniture into a moving truck, sometimes tossing mattresses directly off the second-floor balcony and onto the street below.

Assistant coach Luther Palmer said reporters could not speak with the students. Palmer indicated he only learned this week they were losing their housing. Classes start next week.
