But I thought you Southern folks said you all had it all under control?
But I thought the current administration was working 25 hours around the clock to get it done?

They did what they were supposed to. It was up to the NCAA and they have spoken. Nothing else you can do.

Hate to hear this. Dont think its fair to these kids now. Hope this doesnt affect the fall sports in any way for SU.

Well they better satisfy the NCAA going forward or else it will. But we don't participate in the FCS postseason anyway. It will hurt the other Fall sports though. Hopefully between now and then that gives the NCAA and SU more time to review whatever they don't like. It seems like double jeopardy to me if this for past student-athletes who already had us on APR ban back in 2010 and I think Banks first year we were still serving that ban.

We have to do better as a Conference and individual Institutions. Southern Boys hoops is the best we have this season. The Prez past votes are coming back to hunt us all as I stated it would.

We have to hold these compliance people accountable.

is SWAC Tournament included? article did not address that..

It makes no sense for us to go and eliminate folks who can be eligible for the NCAA tourney. We should just play for the regular season title and be done with it. I don't know if the NIT is sanctioned by the NCAA but since TxSU didn't go last year. It must be. I know they take the regular season champs from conferences who didn't get a bid to the Big Dance.

Feel bad for the kids who have no fault in this. But the NCAA has spoken. I wish we could penalize the folks who caused this issue in the first place. Sure were not the former student athletes.

I agree. But it is too much like right. We still got bickering on the BOS. My people.

It would have to be wouldn't it... Tourney champs go to NCAA big dance! Southern is surely the favorite to win it!

We should stay home. No reason to go play the tourney and mess over other schools. We will have to be satisfied with the regular season title on the men's side. The women still have work to do to earn that.

Yeah. The NCAA owns the NIT as well.

Is this thread going to be moved to the "smacked" board too?

No need. I mean if SU swept your team in basketball. I would not smack as we know THESE kids are not the ones who have APR issues. I wonder if GR going to say the best team didn't win the SWAC tourney this year.

Sorry JR, but I'm smacking cause you all put up this silly front like everything was good when you all knew the hammer was going to drop. Sorry bruh, but I'm smacking.

Smack on. It doesn't hurt JR one bit. And no one knew what was going to happen. The NCAA decided on their own that they don't have enough time or like what they got so far to lift the ban before tourney time. No person on this board works for the NCAA. LOL.

I feel bad for the kids. I don't feel bad for myself. The NCAA did what they thought was correct. I don't smack on NCAA rulings unless someone has cheated. We know damn well Spivery shole wasn't cheating with that sad arse record he had and Pete wasn't either. Our compliance folks are the ones who should have suffered. We got their boss out of there. But obviously some more folks may need to roll.
