Dude, the out of state recruits you see are from Comegy & Knight.
The in-state recruits are recruits Harold Jackson & Co. Recruited. (While having to hire a staff at the sand time in a 3wk period). If you ask me they did a great job brining in the locals after ole miss, msu, USM and Alcorn was already out recruiting months ahead.
Go do your research since you know everything.
Go read all the blogs and tweets about JSU football and educate yourself.
Again Take that drama to Comegy's MVSu thread.

Jackson has done a pretty good job with in state recruiting given the time he's been here. We are still hopeful for at least one more. I'm looking for this kid's name and kinda hurt he has signed as of yet. And I will also admit that Alcorn got that DE from Brandon that I wanted. Can't get em all, though.
 
Seems like some of you guys are in your feelings. I'm just going off what he said in the press conference.

I was recruited by Comegy from that area (Monroe County). I will agree that our presence isn't as strong as it should be, but I know of at least two athletes from that area that went to Valley, and I know if JSU had shown any interest, they would have came on down to Jackson. The NE corner of the state have some diamonds in the rough, you just have to show them what we have to offer on the field and at the school.
 
I don't understand how we go to Memphis every year and don't recruit from Memphis/South Haven/West Memphis Arkansas area.

Hell you will be brainwashed too if choosing between Ole Miss, State, and JSU. You guys are killing me with this why don't we recruit N. Miss as if you are Bama or FSU. What if you guys do recruit that area and the kids just aren't interested in JSU. I'm just saying.........

Huh? Using that logic you shouldn't recruit anywhere. What he meant was the kids we should be going after but would rather go the JUCo route in hopes of landing an sec offer down the road. Or the kids we lose to The Arkansas states and all. We can pull some of those kids with effort, we have before. There's no area in the state that's completely closed off to JSU(or any other school) just because.

Casey therriualt had no other offers. Rico Richardson only had JUCo offers. They were great pickups. They aren't the only ones, I could go down the list. Maybe we have a difference in opinion in how a "great pickup" is defined. I used to put a lot of stock into who else offered a kid but I've learned over time it matters little.

Besides, it seems to me that for most of the last few years, JSU has had a "low" ranked class... but every year WE win. :D

Damn :smh: You are correct. Those kids are briainwashed about Ole Miss and State.
 
I live up here and most of the teachers are from State,Ole Piss and University of Memphis. some from Tennessee so that' s what gets pushed all day everyday. I will be endoctrinating my kids in all things JSU going forward. One is sold , the oldest may end up at State....She can't go to Ole piss. The baby will be JSU till she die...LOL
