Auburn and Florida State walk into the Rose Bowl





As much as I hate to admit it, I think Auburn's gonna win it. FSU isn't as good as people think they are. They play in the ACC . . . yeah, that ACC. The one that Duke one a divisional championship in, only to lose 1,000 to 7 in the championship game. The teams that Duke beat to win the division are some of the same sorry teams that FSU beat. Duke even held mighty FSU scoreless in the first quarter.

Oh well, I hate Auburn, but at least the National Championship will remain where it belongs . . . in the College Football Capital of the planet . . . Sweet Home Alabama . . .

And even though this is an Auburn thread (and did I mention I hate Auburn?) . . .

Going with Florida State to win the National Championship. FSU is Big and Fast and both sides of the ball. Auburn was lucky in two games and their lucky will run out against FSU. This one won't even be close......

Nope, Not a huge Auburn fan. But I shole want them to beat Bama every time. And the way they bust Bama this year was legendary. Don't you agree?
 
Normally I pull for all teams in my state. I am neutral on this one due to family ties to FSU, so I won't make a pick, but will be happy with the winner.
 
As many jokes as I've seen on TSPN regarding Black folks from Alabama (specifically HBCU grads) rooting for Alabama & Auburn, I'm one of the few that is not into FBS Football. However, I am a De La Soul fan. Until 2 weekends ago, I had know idea that Auburn's tailback was the son of Plug 3. With that being said, "WDE!" and "Potholes on my Lawn!"

Beat five Top 25 teams, including No. 1 Alabama
Rushes for 335 yards per game led by Tre Mason.
Plays on up-tempo offense with multiple formations and shifts that aid running game.

Cons:
Defense is ranked No. 38 in country.
Only averages 169 yards passing per game.

FSU
Pros:
No. 2 in total offense 53.0 ppg
No. 1 in total defense. 10.7 ppg
Won by an average of 42.7 points per game.

Cons: Hasn't been tested by many opponents or in close games. 62nd ranked SOS
Unknown whether they can stop the physical Auburn running game.
Offense line prone to give up sacks and pressures.

I can agree. We may kid you all about Alabama, but Alabama and Auburn have been winning. The next championship will come through Alabama. Now with that said, I still hate Alabama. :lol: Fold Tide Fold.
 
FSU gonna wipe the field with Auburn. FSU has too much talent on both sides of the ball. And they actually play defense. I'm not even going to get into what the Nole offense gone do to Auburn's defense.

there used to be a sign on the upper deck of Legion field before they tore it down that read something similar to that...
 
This is the first time in a long time that I can see the SEC actually losing this game. I'm not saying FSU will win but they most definitely CAN beat Auburn.
 
Auburn is going to win in a rout over Florida State. Here is why:

1) Florida State has played probably the softest schedule of any national title game participant in a long time. When you end up playing Duke for the conference title, something is wrong. 4-8 Florida had Winston and company struggling until their defense wore down. So any team with a pulse on defense can hold Florida State in check.

2) Auburn's rushing attack is darn near impossible to stop once it gets rolling. And once Florida State begins to cheat up to the line, look for them to throw some passes over their head too.

3) How will Jameis Winston handle all of the hype after he wins the Heisman. It has been well-documented how many Heisman winners tend to struggle in their bowl game due to all of the PR appearances.

Not that big a deal. One team was riddled with injuries and youth. They put it all together this season.(Missouri) The other team (Auburn) was very young, and just needed to change their coach to really get that talent to reach its potential. Everyone knows Gus Malzahn was the real reason for the success Auburn had with Chizik.

Florida State is awfully good. However, they can't score if the ball isn't in their hands. I'll go with a strong running attack before a good passing attack. Auburn weakness obviously is their defense.........This is going to be a close one. However, Auburn is going to frustrate the hell out of Florida State..........Auburn wins in a very close one. Anyone that thinks FSU is going to blow Auburn out has loss their mind......... :lol: :emlaugh:
