Monken might be in trouble.

Synder runs Kansas State. He came back out of retirement after they hired Prince and that failed. So he can leave when he wants. His seat ain't hot. Without him they would be irrelevant. LOL.

Mike Riley is back at Oregon State for a second time as well after his NFL coaching debut didn't go well at San Diego. He has them respectable every 3 years or so. That's all he has to do. Them folks ain't going to run him just yet. They understand WHO they are. LOL. No unrealistic expectations.

Now the guy who put himself in the warmer right away was the brother at USF. He just left Western Kentucky to take that job and he not only loses to a FCS school at home. He gets blown the fugg out. SU's Cal Magee might need to get his resume back out to USF for that job if dude don't right the ship soon. LOL. They already ran Lou Holtz's son off last year at USF.

Frank Beamer is Va Tech, but sooner or later it will be time for Beamer ball to go if it don't get better.

Kirk Ferentz might just be on the hot seat at Iowa. He has done as much as he can and it ain't going to get any better. He needs a change of scenery. UT are you listening. LOL.

Rick Comegy. After Bama St unleashes on that tale this week, Jackson will in turmoil...............

Kirk Ferentz is safe for a quite a while. His contract, given at the height of NFL rumors concerning him and intended to ensure that he doesn't leave, has made firing him all but impossible. Iowa has a lot of debt obligations with some recent athletic facility expansions and upgrades. They would owe Ferentz more than $18 million over the next 6 years if they fired him. That likely means they would be paying Ferentz and the new coach as much as $5 million combined.

Todd Monken is okay... they are in complete rebuilding mode! A former GSU coach once said "Losing records are a reflection of bad habits". It's gonna take a while to get rid of those losing habits and they also need talent upgrade. They have a tough non-conference schedule but they will turn it around.... Oh, I happen to know one of the coaches.

The reason USM is playing all of those tough road games back-to-back is because they need the money to pay off Ellis Johnson who they ran off last year. Monken could lose every game this year and he would be back next year simply because USM can't afford to go through that process two years in a row. Monken will be fine and I think he'll get USM turned around.

Bill Snyder owns Kansas State and will be there as long as he wants. I wouldn't be surprised to see him retire again after this year though.

That $1.5 million USM sold their home game back to Nebraska this year is the exact payoff needed to do just that. They owe the Ellis Johnson exactly $1.5 million which is what Nebraska is paying them this weekend.

He lose another one like that, we will see. These alumni and AD's don't play these days.

Frat, Bill Synder is Kansas State. He will leave on his own accord. They are just glad he un retired to come coach. They realize WHO they are. Unless there is a scandal, he ain't going to get fired. He did them a favor by coming back because they couldn't get anybody worth a damn to come coach in Manhattan Kansas. LOL. Nobody wants that job. You will always have to hire an unproven assistant to take that gig or a washed up coach that is either on their last hurrah or been in some type of scandal.

Every big name booster for Kansas State football is Synder's boys. LOL. He has them in the pocket. Their alums ain't like Nebraska or Oklahoma. If anything Synder will get more money and backing from the boosters after he tells them he has no talent to compete even with a ND State team. LOL. They will go buy...err... find him some good JC players.

While not exactly on the hotseat, fans are starting to get restless about Dan Mullen's offense and it's lack of points.

Poor Dan. He has to beat Ole Miss this year or folks going to be really on him next season. He will at least be there through next season unless he leaves on his on.

The more he struggles, the more home grown recruits will want to go to play for Hugh Freeze and Ole Miss.

Yep. He's done about as well as he can do and folks still don't think that's good enough. Although, they haven't ever gotten anybody who has done much better.

Dan's in a tough spot.

I actually think you can do better at Mississippi State. If they ran an offense that catered to the talents of their players they could win more games. That Oklahoma St. game was easily winnable, but you not gone win too many games against good teams with a 6'5 statue qb that makes Drew Bledsoe look like Usain Bolt trying to run qb-run heavy spread option.

With the recruiting class Ole Miss got in 2013, Miss State BETTER BEAT Ole Miss.
Dan Mullen can't take another off-season like this one to Ole Miss. He got his share but Mississippi State fans are getting restless with all the activity going on in Oxford.

Agreed.

They could have been up at least two or three touchdowns in the first half. The defense was playing lights out. That game was winnable, but the offense didn't do anything.

Are we talking head coaches only? There's some assistant coaches in the piney woods that better be concerned!

Tyler Russle is hot garbage...Dude just does not have it...He should have been recruiting a new QB or play the back up.. All that running Perkins was doing and the defense playing like that and Russel throwing that ball away.

Well Alcorn don't have to deal with him.
He out for this weekends game with concussions. Everybody gonna find out if they got a good backup QB to step in.

dan should have left sooner while his fluke "undefeated thingy" was going on, then he lost to ole miss in the egg bowl -_- Folks at state are not gonna be happy!!! Dakota Prescott is a good dual-threat qb, russel is a freaking ROBOT lol

Tyler Russell is Tony Romo on the college level. Looks great in the small games and games that don't matter. Crashes and burns in the big games. Every single time.

Asberry with Frazier out there being Charles' boy is on the hot seat.

Nah. You can't fire Asberry when he inherited a program that damn near got the death penalty. If anything, Asberry may return to NCC if the interim coach don't work out this season. TxSU has scholarship reductions and all kinds of stuff affecting them. Not even Nick Saban can help them right now. They are not on an even playing field right now. They got give whomever they had hired as Coach some time when you get hit with them kind of sanctions. I don't think people realize how hard that is.
