Why the HELL is Charles Haley not in the NFL Hall of Fame?

NFL better get it right next year. Shout-Out to Larry Allen for saying this and recognizing Jackie Slater.

I think that Haley should have been in a long time ago. Some feel that Grambling's Paul 'Tank' Younger should be in the hall, and I agree. I feel that Prairie View's Otis Taylor should be in the hall.

Remember, this is not necessarily an NFL thing but a voters thing. This is the PRO FOOTBALL HOF.
 
I definitely agree with this. Multiples SB winner Haley should have been in the HOF...but since he aint no ass kisser and he is not a commentator like Sapp, Chris Jackson, Micheal Irvin, or LynnSwann he has not been elected to the HOF. Haley was probably the top defensive player of his time along with The Minister of Defense and Lawrence Taylor. I wouldnt be surprised if when he does get elected he chooses NOT to speak. That dude is hard like that

Charles Haley was batshit crazy, but no one can deny he was one of the most disruptive defenders of his era. He elevated Dallas' defense to a championship level.

My boy from San Francisco says Haley pissed in DeBartelo's car. Hard ain't the word for Haley. I remember when he punched a hole in the wall after losing to Buffalo to start 0-2 after the 1st of the 3 Super Bowls, demanding JJ sign Emmitt.
 
Bruce Smith, CharlesHaley, and The Ministerof Defense (somebody look his name up for me) are the only people Ive seen take over a game on defense and be a part of every play.

Exactly....one thing I like about SkipBayless is he says this EVERY year. Personally I dont want to hear anything about the HOF as long as Haley is not there and all these commentators go in every year. WarrenSapp is in the HOF? Before CharlesHaley?? Whaaaaatever

What he did sounds kind of "homo", so that may play a part in some of the guys not voting for him.

But to answer your question, if he whipped it out in MY face and made comments about wanting to have sex with MY wife, I'd have a hard time voting for him.

Take into account that I'm also a Steelers fan who hates everything Cowboy-related except their losing playoff games.:snicker:

You gotta have some standards off the field as well. There's a reason he can't get the votes. I don't hear Jerry Jones clamoring for him to be elected into the HOF. As a matter of fact, I don't hear many of his colleagues trying to help him out either. That speaks volumes.
I would surely think twice before I voted him in based on his behavior (not sexual orientation) and disturbing antics.

Robert Brazile was better than Haley and he's not even in.
A lot of that had to do with his antics off the field. I'd vote Brazile in before Haley any how.
 
Charles Haley need to get in the HOF and Eric Wright (former CB of the 49ers) need to get in as well. End of Story....
 
You mean to tell me that people who have never in their lifetime put on a helmet, lift a weight, etc. at the high school, college, much less the professional level have a say in who gets in the Hall of Fame?

This is like saying that a coach that has never played the game can't coach the game and we know that's not true...these writers live the game week in and week out so yea I would say they know the game enough to vote on who goes into the Hall!

Right. It's their feelings about certain players that get in their way.
 
Because the dumb people that is doing the voting are the same people that is keeping out: Otis Taylor, L.C Greenwood, Ed"Too Tall Jones, Donnie Shell, Tim Brown, Drew Pearson, Harvey Martin, Albert Lewis, Lester Hayes, Aneas Williams, Jerome Bettis, Michael Strahan, Andre Reed but Curtis Martin and King Butt Kisser Warren Sapp is in. Heck these are the same people that kept Art Monk out, when we all know he should have been in years agol
