Exactly.

And I can't think of a better year to be more prepared to be competitive early in the season than this year.

I like the fact SU is giving the school and conference some exposure by playing in Canada early in the school year. My questions are:
How are these games going to help when practice officially suppose to start in October(I think)? Will SU be allowed to continue official practices or will practice resume after Midnight Madness?

Syracuse to take preseason trip to Canada

Syracuse is heading to Canada for four exhibition games in late August, the school announced on Thursday.

The Orange will face Bishop University, McGill University, Carleton University and Ottawa University from Aug. 21-24. The first two games will take place on the McGill campus, with the game against Carleton being hosted by home of the NHL's Ottawa Senators, Scotiabank Place.

:lmao: :lmao: The NCAA actually INVITED us. I guess they saw something.

While we're at it... we are all aware that teams are allowed to scrimmage other schools before the season starts I hope.

As for the travel games SU is playing it's not bragging just statement of fact that they are doing a tour. We should all want our schools doing it. It's not 3 days of practice...it's more like 2 weeks of practice. That significant. It does allow the building of team chemistry and gives coaches an early look and allows young guys to play through mistakes without being yanked back to the bench. It also helps in giving teams a chance to be competitive not in March but in November and December..you now....when we normally get beat to death.
Exactly and with our nonconference slate this year. :( We need a jumpstart.

Dude, you have no idea what you just posted. You in no uncertain terms just stated the following: "JUST BECAUSE A WHITE MAN DID IT, THAT MAKES IT FINE". Do you REALLY believe this?! I truly hope not.:smh:

Playing three sorry teams before the season begins is no better than a football team scrimmaging in the spring against a sorry football team and it's certainly no guarantee that the team will have a winning record.
Great practice time, but no guarantee of a winning season. Let's not blow this out of proportion.

Regardless, it's about all the hours of valuable practice time they'll be getting in.

Exactly  . The SU/TSU game next season will be a big one. I expect a packed out Mini Dome and a very energethic crowd like last time tSU visited BR when school was in :) .

Much better than that 40 point blow-out JSU had in their appearance.

It's amazing how folks from those low rent programs attempt to intervene in a championship big league conversation. For heaven sakes, conquer your state first. The only other programs that should be considered besides The Southern University Basketball Jaguars and Texas Southern is possibly UAPB. All others should vote and then praise the three programs. I'm not sure if the poll feature still exist but it would have been great to utilize it in this thread.

And how many of the Gonzaga players will make it to the NBA compared to Florida's lineup back then? Heck, JSU's team would've beat the mess out of su. LOL!! That same Florida squad would've ripped holes in su's ass from the start with ease. Yall played a bunch of overrated White boys.:smh:
