You can't be serious. But, you're JayRob so I know that you are.
According to you, when people read an interview a political candidate gives A DAY AFTER THE ELECTION we should ignore what he says in that interview and go to his website to find out what he really thinks. Especially if what he says in that first interview is racially divisive because COMMON SENSE is on the website, not what comes out of his mouth the day after the election. Common sense surely wouldn't tell him to talk about a divisive issue that cannot help his city or its citizens.
Who is handling public relations for this guy? Where is Crit when you need her? Dammit. I'm about to blame all of this shat on her. :kaioken:
And what's wrong with "reminding Black folks of their 'history'"? The simple fact that it's not true. Lumumba or no one else living today has any proof that Africans were the first to discover America. Changing the history books to say that would be just as inaccurate as saying Columbus discovered America. Actually, there is evidence that many people from many different cultures had contact with the Americas before Columbus. Chinese, Japanese, Polynesian, Africans and, yes, even other Europeans. WE DON'T KNOW who the first people to visit America were.
However, changing the history books to say that does fit with his agenda to say that the people were BLACK.
What's wrong with it is that it's a LIE, first of all. Secondly, it's not an effective use of time considering the many other more important issues that Jackson faces TODAY. Right now.
There are other things that much more important that need to be addressed and focusing on crap like this shows me that this guy is confused about what his responsibility will really be and that he's not fit to be mayor.
