Majiksity are you sure about that MVSU-Alcorn game being on BET?
I don't recall seeing that on earlier schedules.

Nice schedule and I real curious which markets will cover the games. I don't believe none of the Syndicated games came on in Houston last year.

TV PACKAGE

I don't know who will be able to pickup these games, but it is a step in the right direction having a game of the week every week.

I know the cable system in Memphis is adding MBC with the digital lineup.:)

Antroy, again my bad on the typo, that game should have been Syn-TV. Syn-TV is short for Syndicated Television. Those are the games that will be shown thru the new SWAC TV package. Again as far as which cable systems or stations are involved in the syndicated package, I am not sure of. That info is supposed to be released Monday in a press release according to Dr. Franks. If/when I find out more I will post it as soon as I can. PEACE

:redhot:

FOR THE LAST TIME - SYNDICATED TV IS NOT A STATION OR A CABLE NETWORK. THE GAMES THAT HAVE SYN-TV ARE GAMES THAT WILL BE TELEVISED IN THE SYNDICATED TELEVISION PACKAGE THE SWAC HAS BEEN ABLE TO PUT TOGETHER. TO THIS POINT I AM NOT SURE OF WHAT CABLE SYSTEMS OR STATIONS THIS WILL INCLUDE, THIS INFO IS FORTH COMING FROM THE SWAC OFFICE IN A PRESS RELEASE. IF YOU WOULD HAVE READ THE FIRST POST ON THIS THREAD - AND ONE JUST ABOVE THIS ONE YOU WOULD HAVE SEEN THIS INFO.

Though I am no expert in television, let me attempt to solve this miscommunication. Syndicated television is not a television station. Shows like The Fresh Prince are syndicated. It is no longer made, but certain stations decide to buy the syndication package and show the shows on their station. This works kind of the same way. Certain carriers pick up the games to show in their area. Others do not.

Houston area posters,
Last year's Labor Day Classic (PV-TSU) was syndicated and was picked up locally on KNWS channel 51 and was shown live in its entirety. They didn't dedicate any time to the bands and did interviews and commetary during halftime instead, but otherwise, the coverage and knowledge of the SWAC was decent (not spectacular, but it was an excellent first step.

Hey Unknown, how about I meet you in LaGrange, and we can settle up then. O yea, I know my way all around Lagrange Ga, Brenda Blvd in particular. Name the day and time lol:D  :emlaugh:

It's so suprising to see a game on every week. Although the Houston market will probably just pick up the PV/TSU game, it's still good to see that there will be a game out there that you can find on the satilittes every week. TSU FAN i might be with you at SRO's to watch these games.

JST,

The SHC is not a part of the SWAC contract. BET shows the SHC and CCC because they want to. That is why the JSU-TSU game is not listed but it will be shown.

Looking for info

If anyone ever hears of which / what networks will be the SynTV ones, I'd appreciate a line. Have access to satellites and other cable networks but need to know in advance. By my name, you'll figure out who I am if you know GSU's kicker for this year. Thanks for any info.

OK Mr. or Mrs. Morgan I think we get the picture. - LOL:cool: ;)

I don't think that information has been released yet and knowing how the things have been in the past with the SWAC, there is no telling when that info will come out. However, I am sure someone will post when that info is released.

Welcome to TSPN!!! ;)
