Serious question, why do so many people hate on Lebron?

After Shaq left, and before they got Gasol, the Lakers barely could get out of the first round with just Kobe. In fact, the Lakers blew a 3-1 lead to the Suns with Kobe quitting in Game 7.

I was in Cleveland over the Easter holidays and those folks are still bitter about him.

Finals stats SHAQ 2000 avg 38 ppg 16 rebounds (BATMAN) 2001 FINALS SHAQ avg 33 ppg 15 rebounds (BATMAN) 2002 Finals SHAQ averaged 36 ppg 12 rebounds (BATMAN)... SHAQ was CLEARLY BATMAN in those 3 FINALS.

I think I beat you to that hill

Now go back and pull up his average in the western conference finals when he wasn't being guarded by one of the Collins twins

After the Lakers got rid of Shaq a year too late, Kobe was playing with SmushParker KwaneBrown and BrianCook. They were picked to be a lottery team every year but THEGOAT dragged them sorry ass MFers to the playoffs in the west which was stacked.

BTW ...why aren't you posting pics if DRose dunking on Euros anymore.

And finally the Lakers were in first place when they got Gasol...we would have been much better off if we had kept his brother Mark. Kobe did have trouble getting out if the first round, but Gasol had trouble getting his first play-off win without Kobe as his 0-12 pre Kobe play-off record indicates

Yeah Lebron is better then Kobe and MJ even though he has no rings. SMFH

Derrick Fisher got the same 5 rings that Kobe got. Do you think Fisher is better than Lebron and just as good as Kobe? Robert Horry got more rings than Jordan, so what's your point?

People put to much into championship rings. Championships are based on Team not just 1 player. Jordan couldnt win it alone, magic couldnt either and etc.

People forget before Chicago won it in 1991 Jordan was scoring 40, 50 and 60 points in playoff games in which the Bulls lost. From 1986 to 1990, Jordan averaged 31.5 points per game with the Bulls in the postseason and he was ringless.

Yeah I know.

I remember Jordan scoring 63 against boston and bulls still lost. It took phil Jackson, Scottie Pippen and rest of those role players for the bulls to win 6 championships. Jordan couldnt do it alone. basketball is a team sport.

Was Fisher and Horry mentioned?

I use to like his game until it became obvious that he is a punk and a frontrunner. If you are up 10 or down 10 he is the guy to have on your team. But if its a close game in the 4th, he wants nothing to do with the game.

I noticed his pattern of quitting on his team 2 years before he went to Miami. He did it in the playoffs against Orlando when he ran to the bus and told his momma to go to the press conference for him, and he did it again the next year against Boston. He just kept quitting on his team in crucial times. The thing that made me start to dislike him was the reaction of his fans always blaming EVERYBODY but him.

After he quit on the Heat last year, I thought maybe the LeBron diehards would see the light, but they still dont get it. Where Im from they say his heart pumps pussy. He couldnt come back to my hood after whimping out like that.

GR pretty much summed up my opinion

Lebron chokes again. Why pass the ball TWICE in the final seconds of the game with your team trailing by three? He didn't want no parts of shooting the ball so he passed it off to Battier?! Are you kidding me?!

He missed four free throws in the final five minutes as well. What more proof does one need to see that Lebron is nowhere near being a clutch performer in the playoffs?

Jason Terry of the Mavericks said Lebron didn't want no parts of shooting the basketball in the closing seconds and he was exactly right.

It's funny how the same people who were demanding LeBron defer to Wade in late-game situations last year are the same folks who are upset LeBron isn't taking the shots this go around.

LeBron choked again. Lets hear the excuses this time. LePunk wanted to parts of that ball cause get didn't want the shot and he didn't want to get fouled. This guy might be the biggest sissy in the history of sports.

Its quiet around here... the Kobe fans must be going out to help him look for a fishing pole.

Man,
I am a Lebron fan but I still ain't believing yet. Last year, that cat really let me down.

I am rooting for Lebron like I rooted for KG to get a ring. I hope LBJ gets a few. But it may not be this year either. I don't think Miami can beat San Antonio nor OKC and they will have a battle with Boston if they hold on to beat Philly in their series. Lebron was balling yesterday. I think they took the Pacers heart back. Now they better run them cats off the floor in Miami. Bosh or no Bosh. Lebron has all the talent in the world. I just want him to get mean and just break somebody hand off in the goal if they try to stop him. Dude is a runaway freight train. He got to start making mofos pay when they try to man up on him.

Right now my two favorite players in the NBA are Durant and Lebron. I need Durant to bulk up some. He can't be stopped either if he puts his mind to it. Dude is so fast to the bucket. I am also starting to like Westbrook a lot more. Last season I was hard on dude and said he should not shoot so much. But dude is getting better and better.

Here is my thing with LeBron....on every team he has been on, he has been asked to be the best offensive player on the court and guard the best person on the other team that is not a center on the court. Does Kobe have to do the same with the Lakers? Also, the five championships that were won by the Lakers, Kobe has had Shaq, Gasol, Bynum which meant his team always had a dominant big. Tell me one dominant big LeBron has played with other than an aging Shaq.....waiting for that answer ----->

Otherwise, I think both of them are part of the top 10 players of all time and top 5 players of the NBA currently playing. I will admit, I did not want LeBron to win a ring last year, but think about this....that team went to the finals last year only playing together that one year, that usually does not happen in the NBA. Usually a team has to pay it dues (i.e. Mavs last year) to even get to the finals. I do want KD and LeBron to win one at some point because they are now of the NBA.

Queen James has some good qualities as a ball player. I don't think that any true basketball fan can deny his talent. Lets just be honest, at 6'8 & 240+, he is power forward with the open floor skills of a guard. However I have two issues with him outside of the fact that he came in to the league being force fed to us about his greatness without ever having to pay dues.

Issue 1: Anyone who has seen him play in the clutch, if they are honest, will admit that the guy just doesn't want the rock late with the game on the line. I'm not talking about creating something and passing to an open teammate (i.e. Jordan to Paxson in gm 6 of finals). I'm talking about he has a tendency to disappear and be a non factor. Yeah Kobe has done that before too and I bashed the crap out of him, but his was a pouting and I will show you how important I am to this team type deal. In the clutch there three guys in the league right now that I would want to have the ball in their hands and LBJ isn't one of them. They are Kobe, KD, Wade.....and I'm starting to like Westbrook's game too. For 40 mins of a tight ball game LBJ is a beast, its the last 8 mins that worries me with him.

Issue 2: My second issue could have a direct effect on issue number one. I think he focuses too much on his "global icon" and wanting to be liked like Mike. He has stated in the past that he wants to be the first billionaire athlete. There is nothing wrong with that, but he seems to really focus on that. If he focused on his game and his deficiencies as much as he did the business then he would be ok. I will admit, his shot has really progress this season. The difference between LBJ, Kobe, and MJ is this........Kobe and MJ were d***s and they don't care if you like them or not. The only thing that matters is the game to them. Even with their aloofness, gamebling, butt-fugging, and etc people gravitated towards them because they are win at all costs dudes. LBJ wants everyone to love him. He didn't understand why folks hated him after "The Decision", or after proclaiming that the Heat will win 6, 7, 8 etc championships. Whenever he stops worry about how the public sees him and develops that win at all cost attitude then the league will be in trouble and he will finally get the love that he is seeking.
