Serious Question, why do HBCUs hate on each other? Its goes beyond "SMACK"

It's people like this that sometimes look at Jackson State with a side eye. Because there are quite a few people like these two who think like this with the arrogance. There is a difference between pride and arrogance. And I will never forget some of these nuts on here from JSU in favor of closing/merging Valley and Alcorn from an athletic standpoint. It's always gonna be the SAME people like THESE two who will take any little opening to take a jab at or just straight diss Valley (and people (not JUST Valley posters) have pointed this out on many occasions).

Despite a few lost souls like these who are mad at Valley for whatever reason I support all HBCU's and cheer for them whenever they are in the NCAA. We will grill each other but outsiders get the stiff arm.

You know, I consider Valley my Northwestern in terms of a program that is easy to root for because of its underdog status.

BH doesn't hate any HBCUs.

The real hate going on is Those of us who see we as a conference are head deep in shat and want to get out with the small expense of pride VS. Those who will not put down school pride for the betterment of the whole conference.

nope but I saw them. I thought they were funny :lol: Not worse than anything a lot of the SEC fans do on a weekly basis but I digress...

But those shirts just give some of your fellow JSU posters another reason to say "See... Valley hates JSU. They always thinking about us"... the shirts served their purpose. People outside of the Delta are talking about them and catching feelings...

You may not hate JSU, but growing up in Clarksdale around a ton of Valley alums...the hate is definitely there. And it's not playful hate for the most part, it is pure hate. You should have heard the excitement when it was known that JSU was in trouble with the NCAA. Just like not all JSU folks want Valley to close, not all Valley folks take that hate as being playful. But I love it!

Those Valley folks don't actually HATE JSU. At the Texas vs Rice games, you see Rice students wearing "TUCK FEXAS" shirts everywhere. It's just meant as a joke.
 
I hate no school now some allow their school pride get the best of them and spew lies on top of lies without any proof, just for entertainment and when they lie i call them out. I will defend my school when someone tries to belittle it though, hope that's not hate. lol

Man please, when I first joined this board jsu was deep on this board hating on Alcorn. jsu the biggest haters in the Swac. for example...GR comes in an Alcorn thread to down Alcorn. Noise Talker purposely mentions Alcorn in line with community colleges when we are discussing the FAMU band incident. This is what jsu does. They are the ultimate Uncle Ruckus member of the SWAC.

as far as the hate in the swac...its just rivalries man

I've even stopped speaking to relatives who graduated sTu because they refuse(d) to denounce their affiliation. I told them I was <b>NOT</b> kidding and guess what, I'm holding on to this until the day I ---> :dead:.

this board is rated G compared to some PWC conference boards. Listen to Paul Finebaum show one night and you will see REAL hate. Aint no Harvey Updikes on this board.... no trees getting poisoned.

GR doesn't hate most if you. The fact is some if you don't know how to take a joke. Others don't want to come to the realization that your school should be closed merged or turned into a community college or farm college. Most if you HBCU s are 4 year party places.

We need to do better as a race. And we can do that by concentrating on the best and brightest. Its time that we make up our mind to do right before whitey makes up our mind for us. We won't like what his resolution is. So lets come together and be strong . We also need to stop sending our brightest and best to the big PWCs

I look at it like a family situation. I will smack on each school internally for fun. But when in public, I recommend each school toe to toe with any other school.
 
Riddle me: I'm not "mono"(lithic/tonal) w/ my own alumni base so why in sans hell should I concoct a lie and say that I'm one w/ all HBCUs? :confused: I view HBCUs as I do any other universities. I don't like uofh, I don't like rice, I don't like sTu, I don't like lamar, can't stand u-tx-any of them, and can barely stomach aTm (younger RB cousin will accept schol offer-I'm sure-this fall 5'9" 200lbs 4.5 40 blah blah blahhhhhhhhhhhh) because my fam represents w/ those folx.

I want PV to win, against everyone, fairly, w/ respect and dignity, and great sportsmanship. I see absolutely NOTHING funny to be lol'ing @ when PV loses (thinking back on coaches I saw lol'ing and even fans - that I cannot share nothing w/ @ that point). That shit disturbs me. I HATE losing, esp when there's piss poor effort from players to coaching staff. If some aren't disturbed by a loss, I certainly cannot be one w/ them. :read:
