There's a 5 page thread already on the Sports board. LOL

Oh I know... it wasn't titled "Roll Tide" so you didn't see it.

I was referring to THIS THREAD, and by the way this thread isn't titled Roll Tide either, is it?

Re: Stump Mitchell interviews with the Rams

SO............. Not smacking.

Lets say Stump come back home to the GOAT farm, WHO would be the man to take over down at SU. Would ya'll promote someone on the existing coaching staff to the head coaching position or would ya'll bring in someone entirely new, thus breaking up the present staff and starting over with a new staff that didn't recruit any of these kids.

Just askin'.

They already have someone J83. I think his name is JaJa Jelu or something like that.

But worse news for the program.

Why is it? Let most of you folks tell it, he was horrible for the program. So which is it? Dude has recruited students first athletes. So what is the problem? At least these kids will go to class. LOL.

Nah. It will not take 2 years. Yall give too much credence to this conference. We will be back to playing throw it every down like the rest of the SWAC. The crap that our fans like. 50-45 games.

Yall hiring dat dude? snicker!

Stumpy was on to something. I didnt like him because of how you all did Pete, but he did recruit scholar athletes and had them playing far above their heads. For that, I commend him on. Now will JaJa do the same?

That's Blues choice. LOL I'm sure the street committee has someone else in mind.
Oh! Blue was talking like you all have named the guy and had a press conference for him and everything. I should have known it wasnt true, cause blue is full of isht.

BB, you already know my feelings on this. We have talked about this in the ATL. I agree that Stump was on to something and sometimes you have to hit rock bottom to rebuild something. Pete was a good man just had gotten lazy. Stump works hard. All he needed was a good staff and support from the masses of SU alums and fans plus administration. If Stump has decided to leave. I can't blame him one bit. Dude has handle everything with class. Got to give it to him for effort. If the last coaching staff had that kind of effort, they would still be at SU.

As for Juluke or Elvis J becoming coach. Who knows. I am sure it will be some politics involved. It doesn't matter, because they will have to adhere to the rules. So I would hope college educated former SU athletes themselves would not want to hurt the school by bringing in questionable kids.

No, but only one coach likes to run first and pass second in the SWAC. That's AJ. Everyone else would throw it almost every down and get into a shoot out. LOL. Just wait till your boy Doug get his own WRs in there. He gone light it up. LOL.

Man you use to be so beautiful...

Android "The peoples Champion"....take Note

JR, you still on Pete case huh? smh. Maybe Pete will come back and coach.

Well Pop, what should we do? Kiss his arse? I appreciate what he did. But the fact is he slacked off in the end. He was the HNIC. Was it all his fault. No. But he was seeing all this unfold before his eyes. Like Joe Pa. He had enough power and voice to go to the Alumni if things were not happening for him on the administration side. Pete could have done what he wanted if he had that kind of outgoing personality....ie like Roger Cador does. So I aint on his case. Just the facts. Hell I want the Field House named after him. But the fact is the APR stuff and our down side on the football field started under his watch. Now you may be right. Pete might be a good interim coach right now with these student athletes. LOL. As long as he can't hire Mark Orlando or our former DC. He would win with this bunch.

We have the best back in the conference in Dawrence Roberts... ground game will be on point!

I always thought your DC's got a bum rap... Your offense tended to keep them in bad position and kept them on the field too much, especially late in Pete's tenure. On a side note, yall always had problems with Gram when we emphasized the run game... In every game since 2004, when we run the ball the majority of the time we won against yall. Wore down the Dog Day and made them Dog Tired. That Linebacker Payton saved yall this year... if not for his 16 tackles, Roberts would have set a dome record.

He can on run straight ahead. He has no lateral movement at all.

Don't know what back you were watching... he's doesn't dance in the backfield, he runs inside with quick feet and good vision. Or are you saying that our Offensive line just blew yall out the way and he ran in a straight path for all those yards?
