Re: Tim Tebow’s pastor attributes wins to “God’s favorâ€￾

I guess there can be time taken out to help out the hungry and disenfranchised.

All of the athletes are favored.....

Re: Tim Tebow’s pastor attributes wins to “God’s favorâ€￾

(let me first say I am not an atheist) BUT I really do hate it when athletes or anyone for that matter say it was was GOD that has blessed me to get these victories--like GOD had something to do with him WINNING, then, what about the loses :noidea:!

Re: Tim Tebow’s pastor attributes wins to “God’s favorâ€￾

I hope this is a case of a poorly written article.

Well, the bible says that all credit belongs to God. I believe it because scripture further states that all gifts come from God, so it's impossible for any athlete/human to take credit for something they didn't/couldn't give themselves....talent. It's the God given gifts that help a player to become a superstar. We all witnessed Barry Sanders gift without a good offensive line. What would Emmitt Smith look like behind the line that Barry had to endure in his career?

I believe God does has something to do with the loses also...there are lessons to be learned in losing, if only we as humans beings were conditioned to look for them, as we were in the manner, in which we were taught and conditioned that winning is everything!

I think that's the problem with the world today.....a lot of folks include God in just certain aspects of their lives, especially during hardships, problems, struggles, and times of severe tribulation. Too many people don't acknowledge God in ALL of their ways. I see nothing wrong with including God in every part of life since He is the Giver of Life.

And I also agree with DCG. There is something to be learned in losses as well as victories; it's the lesson and how well you learn from it which dictates your path. TT publicly acknowledges his faith and belief in God and acknowledges Jesus Christ as his Saviour. Many other athletes have the same opportunity to profess this as he does, but you don't see many of them do that. Because of his faith and profession, TT will always be favored in his life journey; his success in life won't be measured only by his performance on the field.

I Tebowed after the third Patriots touchdown.

I find it awfully funny that when the Broncos lose it is all of a sudden "a team loss." But when they win, it's all because of the will and inspiration of Tim Tebow.

This may be true but we can't blame Tim T for the way the media chooses to report about his on field talents and the angle in which they choose to cover it...I hope his teammate get and understand this also!

Oh, I'm not talking about ESPN (who did a total disservice to the business by sending Skip Bayless out to Denver last week to do First Take, and Sunday NFL Countdown conducting a Tim Tebow retrospective for much of the show) we can include a lot of fans in that as well, Sweet Cheeks.

Nobody was/is saying anything about faith, belief, divine intervention, leadership etc., after Denver lost to the Pats.

This is merely a test. A chapter in the book of Tebow. This too shall pass.

Denver plays Kansas City on the last day of the regular season in Denver. It is possible that both the Chiefs and Broncos could be playing for the AFC West title. Wouldn't it be something if Kyle Orton came back to Denver and knock Tebow and the Broncos out of the postseason?

You guys said it all! Too bad TJack can't get the same love for leading the Seahawks to a 7-7 record with a torn pec muscle. He gets the blame when the Seahawks loose and everyone gets the credit when they win. I would have no problem with Tebow getting the love from the press if TJack could get the same respect.

Ken, Tebow is going to the play-offs.

and the 49ers will make sure that Tjack does not get in the play-offs so don't worry about that one either. I hope the Seahawks keep him as a starter for a long time.

I think the Seahawks will beat the 49ers this weekend and don't worry, TJack will not get the credit for the win like Tebows does with the Broncos does.

I am a person that believes that Tebow should get a fair chance to succeed like every other QB has. But he can't throw and the press loves him and black QB's that did the same thing, the same press was holliering, when will he be benched.

We are going to beat the l out of the Seahawks. Harbough is not about to let Pete upstage him.
