Did Doug get suspended when he jump on Jackson State coach for walking under a balloon GSU tiger? If so did he serve the suspension?

I guess you didn't read this in the article.

In 2004, Grambling had 22 players suspended after a brawl with Prairie View in the State Fair Classic. All 22 served the suspensions simultaneously.

I partilcularly agree with that last quote about the conference having to make a statement. They damn sho wanted to make a statement by suspending folk from the SCG. Make a statement now. Both teams have enough players to field a team. Staggering shouldn't be considered, let alone allowed.

Two wrongs don't make a right. PV and GSU players had to sit out so should UAPB and SU's. Point Blank, damn the excuses. Some of you people kill me, just validating wrong. smh

What "two wrongs"??? Cold cocking Asberry wasn't wrong. He shouldn't have walked his azz through the Tiger head. That was total disrespect and a GMAN handled up on him for it.

Still one has to be the bigger man, you see it your way, i see it mines but this particular situation doesn't pertain to the UAPB/SU situation.

Nope, Coach Rob approach was much different. Some allow their pride to see the glass half full but to get back on topic, UAPB shouldn't be granted staggering. GSU and PV didn't receive that luxury in 2004 and that fight was less intense.

Well, let's see who would have been STUPID enough to try it. Wait....wait....aha! NOBODY!

I think that back then, the poor soul who tried it back then would have been beat down by the whole team. Those GMEN were killers. My cousin, Big Cat Ernie Ladd, would have ripped a ninja to shreds.

Anyway, back on topic, the mere fact that the SWAC office is wavering on their decision shows their incompetence. I agree with Doug...the fight wasn't staggered, the suspension shouldn't be staggered. What a bunch of crock!

SWAC assistant commissioner Tom Galbraith said there is a possibility the conference, whose offices handle the appeals process, will announce its decision as early as today.
