You didnt put all the weekend games in btw has to be some out of conference games out there. Then you didnt put each double header game. You will not get thumbs up form others :no:

The Alcorn Vs Jackson St Game (Fri) can be heard on WPRL.ORG. First Pitch is 6 p.m. That will be the only game broadcast of the three game series. WPRL will have live coverage of the inauguration of Alcorn President Dr. M Christopher Brown all day Saturday.
 
Now Pine Bluff knows they should start their first game at 11 or 10 am, that second game probably will get canceled in the 6th or 7th inning, then continued on Sunday morning making forcing you to have 2 games on Sat and two on Sunday, due to their lack of lights.

Taking hits OK with SU players

A lifelong catcher who takes pride in his defensive skills, Clint Ourso is used to taking a beating behind the plate.

“A couple of times, I’ve forgotten to tuck my chin and caught a ball in the throat,†he said. “You can’t breathe for about a minute, and that’s terrible.â€

Still, it’s part of the job, and he loves the job.

As it turns out, he doesn’t mind taking a few extra bruises when he stands in the batter’s box, either.

Call them badges of courage, honor, or mild insanity.

One way or the other, they serve as proof to Ourso that he’s doing whatever he can for the Southern baseball team. If he can get on base by getting hit by a pitch, well, so be it.

“You get hit in the ribs, it’s going to hurt for a couple of days,†he said. “But to me, I mean, it’s worth it.â€

Ourso and left fielder Taylor Roy are tied for the team hit-by-pitch lead, with 10 apiece.

Only one player in the Southwestern Athletic Conference, Justin Cook of Texas Southern, has been hit by pitches more often (12 times).

This weekend, as the Jaguars (19-12, 11-4 Western Division) host Prairie View (16-13, 8-7) in a three-game series that begins at noon Saturday at Lee-Hines Field, the two men will try to stick with what works

Grambling climbs back into SWAC hunt

In 2010, the Grambling State baseball team seemingly came out of nowhere when it caught fire late in the season, captured the Southwestern Athletic Conference Tournament championship, and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.

This season, the Tigers have been in the thick of the SWAC race all along.

Grambling (16-15 overall, 10-5 SWAC) now sits in second place in the SWAC Western Division standings, one game behind first-place Southern (19-12, 11-4). The Tigers visit Alabama State today for a doubleheader starting at noon in Montgomery, Ala.

Though Alabama State is a member of the SWAC, the doubleheader will not go towards the league standings because the teams are not in the same division.

The Tigers opened conference play in early March with a three-game home series against Southern and were swept 3-0.

Since that series, they've played as well as any team in the SWAC, winning 10 of their last 12 league contests.

Tigers fall 4-1 to Alcorn State

JACKSON, Mississippi - Alcorn State defeated the Jackson State Tigers 4-1 Friday night at Robert "Bob" Braddy Field on the JSU campus. In the 10th inning Alcorn's Kenny Rowan connected on a two-run homer to take a 3-1 lead and Eduardo Gonzales followed with a solo homer on the next at bat for the 4-1 lead. JSU's only score of the game came on a Kendall Logon homer in the first innin. Cortney Nelson suffered the loss. He pitched 2/3 of an inning and gave up three runs on two hits.

ASU Athletics to be a buzz on Saturday

Saturday, athletics at Alabama State will be a buzz. Literally.

A full day of activities for fans begins at 10:30 a.m. with Hornet Fest at Hornet Stadium. Live music, food, drinks and children's games will be provided free of charge to all in attendance.

The on-field action will begin at 11 a.m. as former Hornet football players will return to play in an alumni flag football game. More than 30 past players are slated to be in attendance.

“Being a guy that's from Montgomery, whenever the Black and Gold Game was held, it was always fun as a kid to come and be a part of it,â€￾ Hornets' head football Coach Reggie Barlow said. “It's always fun for the kids and fans. This game is more for them. We want to come out and put on a good showing. It's always exciting to be a part of this game. We'll have a lot of fans here, and the players' parents get a chance to come as well as our signees.â€￾

At 2 p.m., the current Hornets' football team will officially end spring practice with the Black and Gold game.

Across campus at 1 p.m., the baseball Hornets will face Grambling in a doubleheader at the ASU Baseball Complex. Tickets for baseball are $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12.

lol Not Really@usatoday, We are Horrible!!! Our pitching is sorry , we make little league errors, And our bats are so inconsistent! Next year we will be a lot better Coach James didn't recruit the current team. He will bring in quality pitching and turn this team around! Heck GSU put up 21 on us I think and if it wasn't for that delayed game y'all would have used a swiffer on us!

As long as your properly fit and have good pitching mechanics you'll be ok. Back in the 70s there was no pitch count...Part of the sissyfication of baseball is the pitch counts. When I pitched, I always wanted the ball. Until I tore my labrum playing Short Stop at Baylor, and I'm sure me wanting the ball 3 out 4 games or the entire 4 game serious had something to do with my injury. But you can't play scared and I would've done it again.

All of our guys are conditioned to pitch like that. They build up to it as stated the other day if you don't condition the kids to do it you will never know if they can. Knocking on wood past 6 years we havent had but one major pitching injury and that kid was having elbow problems coming out of JUCO. You look at some programs and kids pitching once a week and going out with all type of arm problems. We lead the nation in complete games last year.To bad for as great a game Q pitched we couldnt score the run to get him the W time to bounce back and work on this second game. BTW Q topped out at 91 in the 9th inning so dont seem too much like arm issues
 
I know our guys are built for, they do it all the time and TSUalum i agree with you actually counting the pitching. Making sports soft. lmao
