even Frazier will tell you administrative commitment has helped him be successful....the others didn't have it for 30 years because past administrations thought otherwise....once the commitment was installed you have noticed the trend has shifted towards Texas in alot of things...
how many SWAC Coaches in their current jobs would drop their drawers to move to Texas? I know quite a few
One thing about PV's President and AD (they had to sign off on it), they're loyal to assistant coaches and individuals who've paid dues within.....if anything, you come to PV you have a legitimate shot of coaching the team...can't fault that
And you can tell that in just five games? I see searching for a real head coach for over thirty years has really paid off.
RrEasy here,
Fred Washinghton, you have done a great thing in promoting Heisha to head coach in waiting....First time a HBCU has ever done that.....GOOD LUCK PVAMU and CONGRATS TO SU'S OWN HISHA NORTHERN...YOU HAVE PAID YOU PRICE WITH A SWAC CHAMPIONSHIP AND GOOD ADVICE FROM GREATS LIKE DOUG, PETE, FRAZIER...NOT TO MENTION TOP D1 PROGRAMS AND THE NFL MINORITY PROGRAM...GREAT STORY..GREAT COACH...
It works both ways... it gives him job security and quite possibly a pay raise AND it gives PV and Frazier Continuity, especially on the Defensive side of the ball. Who knows, Frazier may want to move back to the East Coast or has gotten overtures from FBS programs...or he might be content to remain where he is for another 5-10 years. By then, Heish will be about 45-47 years old and financially set and will have stocked the cupboards with his type players (especially defensively). Seems to be a good move, especially with Frazier obviously being in favor of it.
In otherwords SU... yall gotta pay to get him if you want him anytime soon AND he ain't gonna wanna interview!
Arn't ya'll suppose to be a established program.....just need to reload and not rebuild....
Although it is early, it is looking more like a re-incarnation of what your upcoming opponent did just a few years back before they realized that it was a error.
Rr
OK now you done lost your mind and sound like the Brett Favre bashers.
Frazier are you leaving us for the white man...I'm just asking!imp:
Is this like that Bobby Bowen and Jimbo Fisher deal where they will have to make Frazier leave?

But getting the coach you got with head coaching experience has paid off big time........LOLI may have been asking to much with no head coaching experience.

Congrats...nuff said. Jealousy is so strong on this site! Heish must've made a lot of enemies during his time as an ALL-SWAC db at Southern...let it go people and be happy for one of your own!
Why do you think there's jealousy? I don't think anyone criticized the move, just wondered about it due to the uniqueness (1st time) being done on the FCS level. Actually, I think it's a smart move.
PVU could need it, because if Sumlin lands a job in a BCS-conference, I'd be willing to bet Houston would be knocking at Frazier's door.
Actuallty, it'll probably work more like Mack Brown and Muschamp at Texas. Assuming it comes with a significant pay increase and a buyout clause for going to another school, it protects the program from worrying about anybody stealing their number one assistant. Yall can have Anthony Jones. I'll even pay for the U-hual.
I thought the word on the street was that Northern can't stop the pass. I'm just saying.....
Really? Are you serious...you cant be serious. Do you guys actually watch football?Actuallty, it'll probably work more like Mack Brown and Muschamp at Texas. If your offensive line can protect, NO, he can't. That is what he banks on though.
I hope Northern doesnt fall for this little trick.
PV can see how poorly SUs defense is and they know there will be a push to
replace SUs current DC. This HC in waiting might be just a little ploy to keep
Northern around after this season.
Dont do it Northern Dont do it
You are going to mess around and get caught in a dead end job.
