Nas' Child Support Payments Upped

We told him to file for joint custody and quit acting like a bytch!! :shame:

What's that going to do? I think folks get joint custody confused. That means nothing in terms of support. There is almost always a primary residence regardless.

The word "joint" only gives him power to make decisions on his childs behalf when the child is with him, requires the primary custodian to give him notice on major decisions, and requires certain things in terms of residency.

Basically.... yo boy STILL gotta pay the same amount regardless! LOL

Condoms are less than $10 for a box of 12.

Hold on girl....we's on the road to

HALF!

Talking shit but still slanging that raw dick = I'm gonna bug you until i gets mine AND your
.
.
.
.

Half

I 97Legend here by certify that comdoms do not work 100%. See Lauren Tea' Wiggins....:D:D

From what I've been told by a couple of folks...child support is cheaper if you have joint custody in the State of Illinois.

I have another homeboy, that's a lawyer in IL, going through the same thing.

He was married and had two kids...then had one child with another woman (before he got married/had the two kids). He's getting a divorce. He said while he is about to battle his ex-wife he's gonna go ahead and refile for joint custody of his oldest child and have those battles at the same time!! LMAO

One of the reasons he listed (which wasn't at the top) was b/c child support would be cheaper b/c she would be spending more time with him. Basically with joint custody the two parents are splitting the time evenly (or as evenly as possible) so the mom wouldn't need as much money. She's hotter than fish grease too!!!

They're in for a surprise: http://www.ilchildsupport.com/calculating.html

To establish a child support order in Illinois, the amount of child support considered for the order depends on the non-custodial parent's net income and the number of children for which he or she is responsible.

Illinois don't play either. My cousin, just found out that he has a child by this chick, now mind you she was married for 15 years and said the child was her husband. Well they are hitting him for back child support, even though he didn't know and she was married and claimed it was the other dudes. He even asked her before she got married to have a test, and she said no. He can't get his income tax back until it is all paid. That's not fair, but these women pimp the game. 15 years is a bunch f money, and they hitting him based on his job now, not back then. :shame:

Illinois takes forever to go after the non-custodial parent...but once they do...babbbbyyy they will hit your ass up for back/back/back child support regardless of the circumstances.

I often ask my male friends that have kids out of wedlock why not just do child support, out of your check, up front and get it out the way. That way...no drama...you see the kid...the chick can't say anything and when you FEEL like giving more...then you do! :noidea:

I think some folks just like to argue...and have drama...like my homeboy above! He stressed out getting sick over something he cannot control/stop from happening. Work that shyt out so that it's not messy/drama filled.

naw...he's not in for a surprise...he knows what he's talking about/doing...but you can keep reading that website!

The courts are not going to order him to pay the same amount and she's spending every other week, plus weekends with him. LOL

Thats why the last line says...
Again, a deviation from the guidelines can be ordered by a court finding.

Here's a different site: http://www.illinoisdivorce.com/family_law_articles/illinois_child_support.php
It does not take into account the amount of time that a child spends with each parent – indeed, under Illinois' current child support law, children may spend most of their time, and consume most of their resources, with one parent, but that parent may still have to pay child support to the other parent. This inefficient law shortchanges children – as well as parents. Each of these shortcomings has been addressed in other states... but Illinois continues to lag far behind.

Hello!! I got full physical custody and we have joint custody on other aspects. He gets to make the final decision regarding sports and religion. I get to make the final decision on education and health. Joint physical custoday is a 50-50 living arrangement.

Maybe ole boy is going for joint physical custody. Even then, he still would have to pay for half of the child's EVERYTHING if he were awarded joint physical custody.

He's going from just having her on the weekends and some holidays to her living with him every other week plus some weekends. Why would he continue to pay her the same amount when they are splitting the time pretty much evenly?

I see why guys get duped into paying alot for child support!!!

Fixed it for ya. Go through it and see. LOL Well you're a woman so you won't see it personally.

Y'all must think the gov really gonna police how much time is spent here and over there with each parent. :smh: Hell no! They gonna find a formula...insert your data nad whomp! there it is. You can go back and forth as you need to...what y'all want a damn time clock? Try to be equitable and move along, grow up and deal with your choices...

Unless both parents live within a close proximity of each other, he'd still come out paying about the same thing whether directly to her or indirectly. Clothes, activities, after school care if needed, food. Judges don't just award JOINT PHYSICAL CUSTODY to alleviate the NCS' child support obligation.

Alright.

I'll keep y'all posted.

Like I said in my original post, he knows it's gonna be a "battle" but he wouldn't do it to waste his time if he doesn't think he has a chance to get it reduced. Also...like I said...that wasn't his main reason for doing it.

He's a lawyer...so he knows the ins/outs of the legal system in IL. He wouldn't waste his time and start drama with her mother just for the heck of it.

He's a lawyer, but is he a Family or Divorce Lawyer? I know lawyers here who won't touch Family Court.

I thank God everyday that my ex-husband and I can raise our child without all the bickering about CS. It wasn't peachy keen at first but he realized it was best to work TOGETHER than try to work AGAINST me.

Hmph......I wish other folks would realize that. :read: :smh:

I don't understand why y'all menfolk on this board get so heated about this child support issue. y'all act as if the money if coming from you, personally...these are rich ass folks...they can AFFORD to pay this. It's why the judges signed off on the amounts. Child support goes by your income...if they're making millions a year, then they are going to pay thousands a month. Do the fugging math...goodness gracious. Until you're living these types of lifestyles, you don't know what it may take to raise these rich ass kids.

That's y'all damn problem now...always worrying about the Mother. Handle your business with you kids and shut the fugg up!

Good points made!
I still gotta  though.

Hell, some of them don't know what it takes to raise these average kids.
