Saw this on Footballscoop:

Southern University (LA): Offensive line coach Damon Nivens has been named interim head coach. We hear Southern University (LA) will almost certainly talk to Tuskegee head coach Willie Slater.

Which SWAC school did Doug coach at 1st? Be it head, part-time, volunter, asst., grad-assist,,,

There is no way Doug would go to SU. Also, Broadway would beat the crap out of him every year. Remember, Doug is only a good coach for the first half. LOL!


I can't believe Southern gave one of the best things that ever happen to that program the boot like this. I feel sorry for Pete. SU can kiss the 1990's dream good bye. I really believe that SU, who football history was never what fans make or made it seem it was, will go back a step. Pete was a very smart coach. He knew how to play his cards. We shall see what happens.
