2009 Florida Classic Halftime

thats the way you are suppose to be entertained at a halftime...

these are the only two bands that make me watch halftime shows... everybody else halftime shows are boring to me.

this year BCC ate FAMU up on the field..... and the announcer TKOed Joe Bullard this year... usually you cant compare to Bullard, but apparantly he is getting older from the sound on his voice.

Im Sorry but I have to disagree, Neither one of those shows Impressed me the Least bit they were both just Alright just like most bands. I guess it all depends on what You Like. I like organization on the field, a show that flows without a bunch of Intermissions, and a well executed drill. All I got from both of these bands was about 5 to 8 minutes worth of stankey leg, bootie doo, and MJ skits. Did I mentioned that they looked a mess on the Field with all those people (especially FAMU), waaaaayyy too much going on for my taste. Did BCU just RUN OFF the dayum field at the End of their show :lol: and :shame: at the same time. Plus none of that Announcer Talking Smack crap would WORK in the SWAC. Thats the only thing that made the shows somewhat Exciting was the stuff that The Announcers were Saying, the show itself was mediocre. That isht would have gotten booed SOOOOO bad that you wouldn't have known what either band was doing because you wouldn't of heard isht the announcer Said. Again I didnt see anything that set these two bands apart from the rest of the band world (outside of dancing Way more than they drilled) IMO.

The only thing BCU really did was an awesome DM entrance and that little thing at the end(even Rattlers had to suck it up and laugh:lol

...everything else sounded great but their show was just missing something.

Honestly though, I really do believe that the Florida Classic Halftime Show is the most exciting. At the Florida Classic, you're not going to see a slugfest in the stands(both bands will play for power) like you'll see in the SWAC, so halftime is when both bands bring it.

The Battle of the Bands on Friday was AWESOME...can't wait to see those clips posted. FAMU looked nice in the All White.

Really? Thats not entertaining to me, all the mass confusion on the field, arrangements that sound nothing like the song, and how many times can you pussy pop in one damn dance routine!!! They're no better than Gram minus the kettle drum and hideous dancing girls! All that shaking and girating would make me:vomit: if I saw my beloved Jukebox pull that schit! Come on, these fools cooned it up in front of the president's reviewing stand. So I guess its entertaining to dude, but that ain't the way its supposed to be done

That's his opinion though. He likes that. As a consumer, he will pay to see that. That's what our bands do. Put a product on the field for folks to come see. That's why the battle of the bands have grown from just having two or three bands, to over 10. Some folks actually like the MEAC bands, some like the SIAC, Some like the SWAC and even the CIAA bands. They pay to see what they wanna see.

I've always appreciated ...out of all the groups participating in that parade on that day...something about our performance stood out enough for someone to acknowledge and document it on such an important day.

Then again...stuff like this doesnt happen by accident. It's called respect...

Then FAMU's lead escort, Colby Brusch, informed students and staff of a little known fact. He said all of the 90 groups performing in the parade were grouped into divisions, of which there were six.

FAMU was in the first division, which included 23 groups. That division was the most highly regarded by Barack and Michelle Obama, according to Brusch.

At the end of the day, you dont have to argue back and forth when you receive compliments like that.
