Cowboys Cut Terrell Owens!!

Dumb moves after dumb moves proves that Jerry Jones is clueless NEVER return!

I've been saying this for years now. I've even got blasted on this site for criticizing those worthless draft picks year after year while other fans were cheerleaders. I'm still pissed at Jones for taking Mike Jenkins, a third rounder at best, in the first round last year and not drafting a receiver. Now we're stuck with RW sorry arse.

I'm not sure of this move or the timing of it. :read: The house that jerry built must be sold out each and every game to substantiate the cost this upcoming fall. :read: However, from a locker room perspective, it was a good move. TO can't help but be mindful of the afforded media attention he receives, which is not good for team chemistry IMO.

I agree (they'll be lucky if they win 8 games)

At least there won't be any drama while they are losing games now.:flippy:

But knowing Jerry, he can't afford to have the Cowgirls drama free and the media (mainstream) ignore the team. So I guess Mr. Vick will get a call to visit Dallas once he's done playing with Big Luthor in the big house.

Boy it's a bunch of haters on here. Finally the situation has been resolved. The Cowboys will be better than the 9-7 team they were last year no doubt. You guys must don't realize that we still have a boatload of weapons. 3 running backs that could start for anybody in the league, Jason Witten, Roy Williams, Patrick Crayton (sometimes), Miles Austin(a star in the making), Martellus Bennett, and etc. Psycho Kitna is an upgrade over ancient Brad Johnson, because they saw last year when Romo went down that Johnson was not the answer as a backup.

Man you are delusional!

I was happy to see Philadelphia put it to Dallas at the end of the regular season but think that they will be better than 9-7 this season.

So what would you call Jason Witten, Roy Williams, Marion Barber, Felix Jones, Tashard Choice, Martellus Bennett, Patrick Crayton, and Miles Austin???? I'll help you, W-E-A-P-O-N-S:lecture:

They are weapons on a dysfunctional team with an clueless owner making decisions!!! I can't wait until the Texas Longhorns kick the kowboiz arse!!!! They won't win a arguement next year!!!!:)

Were all those W-E-A-P-O-N-S enough to get them to the playoffs last season? :emlaugh:

DGTM, just hold that in your pocket until the end of next season. The scoffers won't be hating on you then.

No, I am not a Cowboy fan; but, they will have a better year w/o T.O.

Man, you know how some people are about big names/superstars. They can't see winning without them. He must have forgotten when T.O. played with the Eagles, the Eagles made it to the Superbowl without him after he was horse collared by that sorry arse Roy Williams.

I'm alright with the weapons we have on offense. Witten is the best tight end in the NFL, Marion Barber is a beast and Felix Jones and Tashard Choice are great compliments to him in the backfield, Williams is gonna be a solid #1 WR, Romo will regain his form with better protection and not having to worry about satisfying T.O. and I think Miles Austin is a good #3 receiver. If we can get a half-way decent WR to play opposite Roy Williams and get that sorry arse offensive line to play decently our offense will be tough to stop. Ofcourse, Jason Garrett has to get his shat together as well.

Honestly, what can Cowboy fans say right now? They had all those "weapons" plus a supposed future-HOF'er and still played as many playoff games as my Texans.

Put your head down and get to work'n to getting back to respectability. That's all I'd except from the Cowboys. Now, will that happen?...:noidea:

The local sports media finally complained about T.O. long enough to get Jerry cave in.

Galloway, Broadus, Estridge, Dodge, Chiappy, Greggo, Kiley, Steve Dennis, Jennifer Engle (lil ball of hate) and the rest of 103.3 FM ESPN Radio have been preaching about T.O. everyday since the season ended....

I don't see why the Cowboys released him. He was the ONLY big-play threat they had. The only reason Witten was always open down the middle was because Owens drew double coverage and cover-2 zone on almost every play. Barber and Choice were able to get 3-4 yards a carry up the middle primarily because the defense couldn't walk-up the safeties, especially if Owens lined up in the slot....

All the Cowboys did was lower their talent level.

I'm no T.O. fan, but he was their best weapon, by far.

I predict 7-9 for the chicken-fried nation next season....

:smh:

Go Steelers!! :tup::tup:

I never understood why the Eagles and the cowboys invited cancer into their systems. It will be interesting to see what team will want cancer next.

The teams that don't want Terrell Owens

The Dallas Cowboys.
The New York Giants.
The Washington Redskins.
The Baltimore Ravens.
The San Francisco 49ers.
The Minnesota Vikings.
The Atlanta Falcons.
The Cleveland Browns.

And the Eagles and Dolphins are listed as teams that are expected to join the list soon. Donovan McNabb and Bill Parcells are the president and vice president of the "Terrell Owens Deserves a Giant Wedgie Club."

In the NFL, you don’t have to have a roster full of stud offensive talent to advance to or win the Super Bowl. The Seattle Seahawks did not have a stud WR when they played in Super Bowl XL.

The Pats did not have a stud WR in the three championships they won. What No.1 did the Bears have in 2006? How about Tampa Bay? Super Bowl XLIII MVP was a WR/kick returner. Heck, the best WR in back to back trips to the Super Bowl for Denver was Rod Smith.

I would not be shocked if Dallas won 12 games next year. I mean, one year ago we were talking about the Falcons recieving Corps like they were a Pop Warner unit.

Some six months later they make the playoffs with a rookie quarterback. Same in Baltimore. Was Derek Mason a stud wide receiver? Who knows the name of any of the Miami Dolphins or Tennessee Titans receivers? Minnesota won the NFC North with the deadly combination of Benard Berrian and Bobby Wade.

With parity reigning supreme Dallas could easily end up in the Super Bowl.

Great! We have plenty of work to do but this is a good step in getting things straightened out in Big D.The next best thing that could happen would be Jerry "Fidel Castro" Jones ceding power to the next in line (Stephen Jones). I know it's wishful thinking and won't happen but I can at least dream.

T.O. needed to go but the real problem in Dallas lies with the Head of State, Jerry Jones.

Jerry needs to return to being only the owner, but ceding power to Stephen Jones would be a disaster.

I don't by into this ESPN Uncle Tom Jackson analysis of locker room chemistry. How the hell a grown ass man making a million plus dollars a year can't do his job because a receiver on the team receives media attention. That is total BS and soft. Flozell Adams jumps offside during a critical play or misses a block because TO get media attention. Romo can't win a big game because TO gets media attention. Cornerbacks hurt or getting burnt because TO gets media attention. LMAO... I am a Cowboy fan to heart and this was a very dumb ass reaction to the media decision. Jason Whitten catches will be decreased by half because defenses no longer have to leave the middle of the field open do to cheating a safety over on top of TO to prevent the big play. And lets face it, Jason Garrett is so overrated it is sickening. My Dallas Cowboys will be lucky to finish .500 next year. You don't get rid of your only quality receiver and expect to win. RW is as slow as mealases and cannot get open.

WEAPONS my arse! The only proven CONSISTENT player on that offense now is Witten, but let's see what he does without TO. Everybody else you named are either unproven or OVERRATED. MB didn't do squat as a full time starter which I predicted. Now JJones is thinking about starting Choice or Jones and bring MB in to finish games. Both Choice and Jones played in and had a few decent games which still make them unproven. Are receiving corp is average at best. Everybody and their momma know RW is overrated and has no work ethic. And you're are talking about WEAPONS. Man get out of here. What team did you watch last year?

TGEE, I guess we are the only two Cowboy fans on this site that have any sense. You hit the nail on the head with this post. Mofos talking about TO is a distraction because some grown arse 20/30 year old men can't do their jobs. Those mofos are just pitiful.

Man I tried to explain this to some guys who put All Dallas woes on TO...LOL

1. Jerry Jones
2. Defense...Zack Thomas
3. Offensive coordinator. Jason Garret
4. Tony Romo..Can't produce when it counts
5. Wade Phillips
6. TO disruption. And I'm stretching here.

TO is not even the top 5 reason Dallas had trouble. I hate Dallas but I watched a lot of games cause that's all they show next to Titans games.

I find this move of cutting Owens awful strange. There are questions you have to ask.

Why did Dallas wait until now to cut Owens? I mean, if they were so upset with him, why not cut him after the Philly game? Usually Jerry does not mope around with decisions unless there is a legit reason. Because you know Jerry wants the spotlight.

I find the move ironic, considering the Arizona Cardinals signed Kurt Warner to a new deal. Why does that matter you ask?

Boldin wants a new deal soon or he wants to be traded. There is no way he is going to be paid as a number one receiver with Larry on the other side. I see that it is possible for Boldin to be traded to Dallas.
