I think he will be given a chance, maybe not at the start, but perhaps after game three or four. Woody has a lot of pressure on him to utilize the kid.

You know how Woody is, if the offense ain't clicking, it's the QB's fault, so he puts in another QB.

I agree, but I'll say that after Rutland "reinjures" himself, then McDonald will be coming in the game. :smh:

It amazes me how these local kids tear A&M down for AU and Bama, but when they don't get picked for those schools they say A&M didn't recruit them, and the ones who leave end right back up at A&M with in two years. I never understand why they leave Huntsville in the first place because 80% of these spoiled kids from Huntsville end right back home at A&M year after year.

I disagree..... Cooper had every star out of the city signing with AAMU. Some coaches just know how to recruit... others dont. When I was in high school and Cooper was at Louisville, I saw him in the hallways PLENTY of times... Ive NEVER seen an AAMU coach in the hallways. Ive seen Rick Pitno and Patt Summitt at more games in Huntsville than I have Vann Pettaway. When I do see Pettaway he comes in with that same AAMU jogging suit, no paper, pad or nothing. He looks like a regular fan. When other coaches come in they look professional and they are taking notes.

That's why I don't trip about Comegy going out of state for recruits. Yeah, it would be nice to see a lot of local flavor, but you can't be mad at the coaching staff if they are going out and bringing in legit players. We ran through Greater Atlanta. Wish we could have got back into Memphis and New Orleans a little bit more though.

Well the 20 years I have been in Huntsville I have never, ever heard folks from Huntsville mention anything positive about A&M or attending A&M. The first thing that comes out of these kids mouth is Alabama and Auburn. Now when Bama and AU back off, then they holla A&M. If you ask any teacher that works in Huntsville City schools about the words that come out of these kids mouth when you mention A&M, the will tell you they aren't interested. The best line is "Don't nobody wanna go to A&M". Heck they would rather attend JxSU or UNA before A&M.

MH, you know as well as I do that we "cleaned up" ATL. We took everything but the kitchen sink and whatever the Big Boys missed.

But like shaw stated, we played 3 freshmen RB's last year (one of which will redshirt this year). If anything, his coach probably called Comegy, Comegy said, "thanks, but no thanks" so then they tried Alcorn.

and believe it, ASU wasn't just taking "whatever the Big Boys missed". ASU was taking what "the Big Boys" wanted. ASU had a VERY good day in Georgia. (that includes south Georgia and north Georgia :clap:

If you truly believe that, then I have a house for sale on Simpson Road. 5 bedroom/4 bath with tile floors and hardwood throughout. Very spacious. Nice Neighborhood/Community.

AlaState and Barlow could never out-recruit Jackson State and Comegy.
