BOXTOROW released its annual rankings of the top 10 HBCU FCS recruiting classes Tuesday.

The rest of the field included [easyazon_link identifier=”B015405VBS” locale=”US” tag=”hbcusports-20″]Prairie View A&M[/easyazon_link] at No. 2, followed by [easyazon_link identifier=”B011E4FLV8″ locale=”US” tag=”hbcusports-20″]Norfolk State[/easyazon_link], [easyazon_link identifier=”B011DSTRTW” locale=”US” tag=”hbcusports-20″]South Carolina State[/easyazon_link], and [easyazon_link identifier=”B008XV2W4K” locale=”US” tag=”hbcusports-20″]Bethune-Cookman[/easyazon_link] to round off the top five.
[easyazon_link identifier=”B012YE41QS” locale=”US” tag=”hbcusports-20″]Florida A&M[/easyazon_link] was ranked at the No. 6 spot; with [easyazon_link identifier=”B00BRLM482″ locale=”US” tag=”hbcusports-20″]Alabama State[/easyazon_link] and [easyazon_link identifier=”B001E4LW3K” locale=”US” tag=”hbcusports-20″]Grambling[/easyazon_link] both tied at No. 7. [easyazon_link identifier=”B0090AUBSC” locale=”US” tag=”hbcusports-20″]Southern[/easyazon_link] and [easyazon_link identifier=”B015T5M9WC” locale=”US” tag=”hbcusports-20″]Hampton[/easyazon_link] were ranked No. 8 and No. 9 respectively.
[easyazon_link identifier=”B016200FW4″ locale=”US” tag=”hbcusports-20″]Jackson State[/easyazon_link] and [easyazon_link identifier=”B011DT80W6″ locale=”US” tag=”hbcusports-20″]North Carolina A&T[/easyazon_link] completed the rankings tied at the No. 10 spot.
The rankings, according to the BOXTOROW, were determined based on information obtained from school releases, local newspaper articles and recruiting boards.
I’m excited about the number one ranking. Although we’ve seen it twice before, I’m hoping it all comes together so we can push for an OVC title, and more importantly, a national title!
