Ulysses Banks, Alabama A&M – 183 all-purpose yards
Tim Turner, Arkansas-Pine Bluff – 17 tackles (10 solo)
Antonio Cooper, Alcorn State – 12 tackles (3 solo)
If they go by total tackles to calculate defensive player of the week, then no one from Grambling stands a good chance to win. I don’t think I saw but maybe 3 individual tackles all game. Everything was gang tackling by the GSU defenders. On the few passes that Luke was able to complete, most of the tackles on those were more than one player.
