This is funny as hell, but so true. My kin folks in Alabama freak out when I tell them that Birmingham Alabama is closer to Houston than El Paso.

Imagine how I felt driving to El Paso when I got stationed there. I crossed into Texas from Louisiana and saw that sign that said it was something like 892 miles to go. I got off of I10 and got a hotel room.
